Hmmm
for some reason,
my previous post was deleted...
not quite sure how that happened,
but anyway...
so today we had a big storm.
Rain
Thunder
Lighting
and
HAIL
First it rained,
then is thunder and lightninged,
then down came the hail!
LOTS of it
It flooded the streets
and tore the leaves and small branches
off the trees
(see the ground in the above picture)
It was some pretty big hail stones for our neck of the woods!
(those are full sized keys for comparison)
And while all of us lowly employees were busy taking pictures
and oohing and awing,
Greg was watching as these big ice cubes
smacked the heck out of our cars!
When the storm subsided,
we ventured out to see the damage.
And damage there was!
Both our cars had hail pits all over them.
Our poor Jeep Grand Cherokee
who has a new hood of only a week old,
will probably need a new one!
And the Passat will need a new hood AND a new trunk lid.
Who knows HOW they fix the roofs!
But, all we know is they both have appraisals scheduled
by the insurance company
on Wednesday this week.
Hope it can be fixed!
But other than the damage,
it was quite the scene to watch.

Good grief! Glad everybody is ok, but bummer about all the damage... the body shops all over town will be busy for the next little while...
Wow! That's quite the storm! (And LOUD...)
Right? Pretty loud! We have flat roofs in the office, and then there is a huge skylight which was REALLY loud with the hail hitting it!
So.... did you decide this wasn't fun anymore????? LOL
