Simsbury, CT - 2

 

We went for a little hike

A few days ago.

It was a beautiful day and the trail was

Magnificent 

A little steep at the beginning 

But then we hiked along the ridge overlooking

A beautiful view below.

We ended up at what they called

A tower

Too bad it was closed that day

Normally you can go inside the home

Do a little trinket shopping 

Then walk up the tower and see 360 degrees

All the way to Hartford

But it was closed

It was a really cool place though and we wandered

All around the grounds

Then the next few days

We got up in the morning 

And hiked out our back door

(We love that both our summer homes

back up to forest land)

Below is the beginning of the trail

We are making from our yard

Through the forest 

To the main trail system back in there

Below are little Holly's

we found all over the ground

This is one of the

"main trails"

And there are a couple of creeks

It is really pretty back in there

and hardly anyone around

I think we passed 3 people 

In the 3 or 4 times we were out there this week

And we even saw a deer

(You have to look closely)

And then there is my handsome 

Hubby

Our furniture is starting to come together 

Now that the carpet is finally in

Greg says

" Too Many Pillows"

Bedding is on now...

One of the many closets we put together yesterday and today

This one is in the master

And we changed the design from the original

a bit

The guest closet is twice this size

but the master also has another, as well as a

Dedicated Shoe closet

Such fun

We have just one day left before we head back to

Tucson

Still lots of little things to be done

But we got a lot accomplished this trip

Met lots of neighbors

Had lots of good food

Saw some beautiful scenery

And got to know the area a little better

Time for bed now
