It's COLD here tonight. Was COLD here last night too - city ran out of natural gas, lots of folks with broken/frozen water pipes, so 17000 or mor folks without heat or water or both! Not too fun. Luckily, the temps should be warming up again by the weekend, but the gas company is not making any promises as to when there will be gas again... not too good!
We are okay in our place - we don't have gas to anything... but Nancy and their guest house (where mom and dad are staying this winter) have gas heat... so luckily, they have fireplaces and warm blankets! If anyone needs to get warmer though, our casita is all electric heat - so it's toasty in there!!!
Aunt Karen will be here tomorrow from Butte, MT. Hope it warms up for her! Not getting much of a break from the cold today! But at least there's no snow on the ground, much to the kids dismay. The schools are closed tomorrow due to the gas situation, and 2 of the schools in our district have broken water pipes as well. So... a 'snow day' in Tucson (w/out the snow!)
